The forum has grown to an extent where we are reaching a crossroads where the hardcore veterans dislike the newbies and trouble makers can chase away VIP contributors.
I am looking for strategies to manage this - without engendering feelings of overt elitism and snobbishness, shutting a door in the face of people not in the 'in crowd'. So suggestions please! Any gratefully received! Meanwhile - is it possible to set the moderators up with the ability to: 1) Isolate trouble threads.. 2) quickly make them follow moderated post rules 3) have it so a moderator written notice pops up when people try to access that thread explaining the situation.. ?? Or would that require moving the thread to a special sub forum ? (that would be a drag..) Many thanks, |

Your moderators should already have the necessary powers. If a veteran crosses the line, infract them.

How can I make an individual thread follow a "moderated rule"?
Or do I have to move a thread to a moderated posts sub forum for rules to apply? Or is there a Mod for this? Many thanks |
