PLEASE HELP!!! A lot of problems
This is going to be a LONG post, so please bear with me. I'm trying to supply all the details. I really hope someone can help. I have been in the process of making a custom header and footer for the forums I run. I have been partially successful, but only in Firefox. It's screwed up in Chrome, and partially in Internet Explorer.
I got the code from the source code from our Trophy Portal HERE. This is the header code I used: Code:
<html> <head> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/trophies/css/trophies.css"> <script type="text/javascript"> var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www."); document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E")); </script> <script type="text/javascript"> try { var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-7467749-1"); pageTracker._trackPageview(); } catch(err) {}</script> <title>PlayStationLifeStyle >> Trophy Portal Beta</title> </head> <body> <div id="wrapper"> <div id="header"> <a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net"><div id="logoHome"></div></a> <div id="topAdSpace"> <script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript"> var random = Math.round(Math.random() * 100000000); if (!pageNum) var pageNum = Math.round(Math.random() * 100000000); document.write('<scr'); document.write('ipt type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript" SRC="http://ads.mediamayhemcorp.com/jserver/acc_random=' + random + '/SITE=PLAYSTATIONLIFESTYLE.NET/AREA=ROS/AAMSZ=EXPBANNER/pageid=' + pageNum + '">'); document.write('</scr'); document.write('ipt>'); </script> </div> <div id="topNav"> <ul> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/news" title="Latest Playstation News">News</a></li> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/reviews" title="Latest Reviews">Reviews</a></li> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/trophies" title="Playstation Trophies">Trophies</a></li> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/forums" title="Forums">Forums</a></li> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/media" title="Screenshots, Videos">Media</a></li> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/contact" title="Contact Us!">Contact</a></li> </ul> </div> </div> </body> </html> Code:
<div id="footer"> <div id="bottomNav"> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/category/news" title="Latest Playstation News">News</a></li><li>|</li> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/reviews" title="Latest Reviews">Reviews</a></li><li>|</li> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/trophies" title="Playstation Trophies">Trophies</a></li><li>|</li> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/forums" title="Forums">Forums</a></li><li>|</li> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/media" title="Screenshots, Videos">Media</a></li><li>|</li> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/contact" title="Contact Us!">Contact</a></li><li>|</li> <li><a href="http://playstationlifestyle.net/about-us" title="About Us">About Us</a></li><li>|</li> <li><a href="http://feeds2.feedburner.com/Playstationlifestylenet" title="RSS">RSS</a></li><li>|</li> <li><a href="http://twitter.com/pslifestyle" title="We’re on Twitter!">Twitter</a></li><li>|</li> </div> <div id="legalInfo"> <p>Copyright ? 2009 PlayStationLifeStyle.net, all rights reserved.<br /></p> </div> <div id="designCredit"> Powered by vBulletin. Site design by <a href="http://www.heroicdreams.com">Heroic Dreams Graphic Design LLC</a> </div> </div> The footer also has an issue where it isn't matching the Trophy page link I linked earlier. It is larger on the forums and looks a lot different. The Twitter link is also below and not next to like on the Trophy page. Also the header made the "Community", "Quick Links", and "Search" features not work for some reason. These three were all drop down menu styles, so Idk what could be causing that. My editing feature doesn't seem to be working correctly either. I can't edit the fonts, sizes, etc. These are drop down features as well. So could it be an AJAX issue? I'm not sure, a lot of this is over my head. In Chrome if you view the page the whole navigation menu appears next to the header, and not below it. I also was trying to get rid of the collapsible menu plus signs that were on the page. I just deleted the pics via FTP and it worked in Firefox fine, but it results in broken link images in Chrome and Explorer. Is there a code I need to take out so the images aren't called for? If so where can it be found? UPDATE: Ok well I seem to have found the drop down errors and fixed that so far. Also the copyright is back, so that is fixed now. I just can't seem to get it centered. This doesn't fix it being all screwed up on Chrome either. Or the collapsible pics code. |

Well considering the sheer amount of problems and that it's even messing up my drop down menus. That is a lot of problems. I searched, but didn't find anything. If you've seen the threads before could you please provide a link, also are they having all the problems I'm having or just some?
