Disclaimer Gateway
Hello all.
I have on my board a particularly sensitive forum, the information contained being potentially harmful for those attempting to carry out without being qualified to do so. Obviously I have a stickied disclaimer pointing out these dangers, but a member has pointed out that this isn't really enough. What I'm after, ideally, is a mod whereby users must state that they have read the disclaimer before they can access this section of the forum. Does anyone have any idea whether this (or a similar solution) is possible or not? Many thanks, Matt |

the new Notices engine is perfect for that...
AdminCP >> Notices >> set one notice to show on each page viewed in the specific forum... people have to read it anyway as it shows everywhere... and they can click the icon to disable them... |

Another way you could do it is by using a Public (Joinable) Custom Usergroup and put a disclaimer in the description.
Then allow this usergroup to view the forum.... |
