Session Timeout - more than one way to set it?
hi,
is there more than one way to increase the session timeout time? i know i can change the session timeout at: vBulletin Options -> Cookies and HTTP Header Options -> Session Timeout but i know someone running as well a vB forum ....and whenever i visit there i dont have to logg in. (have to do that maybe 2 times per year). and he has an even smaller number of seconds set in the Session Timeout field. does anyone have an idea? |

There is only 1 session timeout setting. Most likely you checked the Remember Me box when you logged in last time.

hm... i thought the "save me" (aka "remember me"?) checkbox is only for
the cookie that remembers the password... so the login is easier. if this should be about staying logged in for months what could be a reason why is it not workin on my forum? (even if i use this checkbox) |

Try to reset your cookie options in your vBulletin Options, clear browser cache, test with a default style (which must be set as board default since you are troubleshooting login/logout issues.
