The only way to easily undo what he did it to upload a backup of your forum database and deal with the loss of a day or so of posts.

You may change your supermods permissions in Forums & Mods > Show All Mods > See the Super Mod list and Edit Permissions. Remove the one to Mass Move Threads (and Mass Prune Threads). Also, go through and Edit the settings for the Mods on the next list (by forum) so they can't Mass Move Threads either.

thanks lynne, for your help!!
it's not easy to be a good vb admin, sometimes you may encounter some faults, then u find what to do... --------------- Added [DATE]1236284706[/DATE] at [TIME]1236284706[/TIME] --------------- @Lynne: I did what u said. in this case they can't also move threads one by one inside forums, i wanna disable this feature from them only from MODCP. is it possible? and also i could not understand what u mean by this: Also, go through and Edit the settings for the Mods on the next list (by forum) so they can't Mass Move Threads either. if u please tell me more clearly!! where is " the next list (by forum)" thanks friend --------------- Added [DATE]1236285637[/DATE] at [TIME]1236285637[/TIME] --------------- as u know moving all forums topics to one forum (exactly what happened to me before) is just possible from MODCP i want to only disable this future from them,, supermods, should be able to move 1 topic to another fourm, but not all my forums topics |

Mass-moving is possible from both the ModCP and you can also move up to 200 (I think?) via the dropdown Moderation box at the bottom of the forums. I just did a test on my test site and taking away Mass Moving permissions still allowed my user to move via the second method and I could still move threads individually. All I did was remove this users permission to Mass Move in the Super Moderators > Edit Permissions on the Show All Moderators page.
On the Show All Moderators page, there are a couple of sections... the top one for Super Moderators and then a bottom section for Moderators if you happen to assign any users as a Moderator of a specific forum. You need to change permissions for your moderators in both sections if they happen to be listed in both sections. |
