Upgrading VBulletin Question
Hello, I am about to upgrade my vbulletin from 3.6.8 to the latest version (3.8.1 i do believe) - Im a little confused and scared of the process, do I just upload everything in the upload folder and overwrite everything thats already on my site? then run the upgrade script? is that going to delete our templates and everyone's posts? sorry for the noobish question, just can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

Backup your database and forums.
Upload your new files over writing your old ones. Run install/upgrade.php You'll have to update templates and modifications as well probably, especially templates. If dont properly you won't lose any data |

The posts are stored in the database. You can't overwrite those by uploading the vB files.
And ditto to backing up the database and all the files first. |
