Do a search, that's what it is there for.

search: tabs > all forums > titles only

You need to create the tabs yourself. This is done with some HTML/CSS and a conditional or two. To hide the forums from forumhome, just set the display order to zero.

Although not my question, but I like the Dismounted solution. How could I not figure that earlier. Makes me feel how novice I am! Will test on forum Now.
