Close & Unstick option in Moderation drop-down menu

At the thread listings page, you have check boxes, and a drop-down menu at the bottom which can allow you to close, open, stick, unstick threads etc etc..

Im looking for a way to combine two of these options.

I would like to have an option called "Close and Unstick", which does just that, at the same time...

I searched and searched for mods, but I can't seem to locate any that can do this. I'm sure many people would probably like to see this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all..

I think someone did a Move and Close one, but Close and Unstick seems like a rarely used set of actions to me. I can only think of a couple of times I would have used it and thus won't ever write any code for it. I've done some other Tools actions of my own - just take the two actions and kinda 'merge' the code together and then give it a new action name.

Well, I use this for the following:

We have files, and then we discussion threads about the files.
The discussion threads are stuck. And then when a new file comes out, the discussion threads are unstuck, and closed. We do this about 50 times a day - hence the reason I need a mod for it. haha.

I've nver written my own mod before, but I guess this would be a good time to do it. Do you know of any mods that are similar to this? May have different actions? But somethign I can use, view, and make sense of it?

Im not a noob to vBulletin, or implementing/altering mods - but building them from scratch is a different story!

Hmmmm, there is this - Auto Move Closed Threads which gives a new option to close and move the thread at the same time. You can see how that is done and then just change it to close and unstick.

Do your mods make a final post in the thread as they close and unstick it? You may be interested in one of these mods if that is the case - Close/Open/Sticky/Unsticky via Quick replay or cLosed , Open , Sticky , Unstick - On Quick Reply - Edit Template
