Show last poster name in red if unregistered?
Could anyone please tell me what to add to the Threadbit template and Member.php to show the last posters name in red if they have the user title "Guest" or are in the unregistered/not logged in usergroup.
When you view a forum and see a list of threads on the right its shows the thread title by Joe Bloggs or whoever was the last poster to that thread, if the poster is not a member of the forum then i would like to show their name in red, i have already used the html in the unregistered usergroup (id 3) but it won't change the last poster colour. Any ideas? |

There is a modification to change the username color in all areas, not just the postbit or online user area - search "username" in "all mods" "titles only". That would work for Unregistered Users, but for the Guests, I think you will need to create a condition in the template that looks at the usertitle and if it is "Guest" then apply some css to make the name red. (Although, I'm not sure if the usertitle is available, so you should look into that and maybe add a plugin to get that information.)

Lynne thanks for the feedback and suggestion, i'll give it a try!
--------------- Added [DATE]1231056017[/DATE] at [TIME]1231056017[/TIME] --------------- Lynne, i had a look at what you suggested but it seems that it add's a query for every single forum, page ....etc so it slows things down. Unfortunately i cannot use that one! Any other ideas? |
