There are several third party addons...

Dream's Chatbox
MGC Chatbox Eco
Cyb Chatbox
cChatbox
vBShout

To name but a few.

On my own site I use Dream's Chatbox, but I have seen sites with all the others on and they are all pretty good, it's a matter of personal preference and what features you want.

Best way is to check the threads for those modifications...do a quick search and that should bring them up.

The threads usually have demo links and/or screenshots.
