Any "threaded" type forum hacks out there?
I am looking for a forum hack that will simply turns a specific board into a "Threaded" type view, which will be used for News type posts.
I currently use vbAdvanced as my news front end, but I wanted to just dump it and not have any "front end" for the site other than the main vbulletin front end. I would then have a "News Forum" with this threaded view and be done with it. I looked around but didn't see anything but I am sure something exists and it just escaped me. Thanks for your help. |

Perhaps some examples of what you want would help. I can't picture what you want.

Go here:
http://www.wowhq.com/ And example would be the way my "news" area in the middle is shown via vBadvanced. Is there a way to get a standard board to show up like that? |

I have not seen a modification that makes a forum show up like that. But it just looks like you need to replace the threadbit template with a new template that spits out the first post of the thread along with the comment numbers, etc. You'd have to modify the query also. I think it's probably doable, but may take a bit of playing around to get it to look how you want.
