vB save user question
At what exact point in the vB files does vB save a user during registration and output a "success" message?
using vB 3.8.0 |

You're talking about two different places there. There's the part where it is saved. Then there's the part where is success page is outputted. The general "action" is located in register.php (if you haven't already noticed).

using all versions since 1.0 will store all that information in the database, inside the table called "user" ... the process is simple: once the visitor click to submit the form, the engine verify the information and store the data in the table "user", generate a new userid for that user

Where in the files is the 'You may now proceed to...' string defined that's displayed after a successful registration, then?

it's easy to know how vBulletin work and where are located all these strings...
when you receive that message, you are still in register.php , this is easy to see, check the url of the page you're in... |
