Custom User Titles

once upon a time, long ago, I was part of a forum that ran on phpBB.
It is now updated and runs on VB with new features and such.

One thing I do remember from those days is this:
During registration and in the UserCP, there was a drop down box.
In that box was a choice of your favourite game system.
When you picked a game, your user titles changed from Junior/Senior member to the custom ones according to the game.

So they weren't just custom titles you can set in the adminCP which are universal, but corresponded with the chosen game.

Is that possible in VB?, is such a mod available? and can someone please make that for me?

You can make a usergroup and set their usertitle to whatever. That should give the same result as what you are asking.

You can make a few custom usergroups and name them what you want. Then make it joinable to the public (select that option in the usergroup). Make the permissions based off of your default usergroup then just change only the user title.

Now people can leave that group and their user title will change back

No, I meant there are the title sets, and each set has its ranks so people can actually advance with post counts. Not just choose their title. But actually have it change when they hit a certain, set milestone.

Basically like the user titles setup we have now, but multiple times.
