Gibraltar Website
Hi I'm developing a community portal / news website for Gibraltar.
Gibraltar Portal The CMS is Textpattern The forums are vBulletin and galleries Photopost Pro I'm not getting much activity on the forums and gallery. There are a lot of people in Gibraltar who use Facebook. I think this could be a reason. Although I'm open to constructive criticism about design Thanks |

Okay, to start off, the fact you have two completely different styles for the main site and forum is not going to help people feel like the forums are the same site as the home page, while the main page banner is probably worse than the forum one (bit blurry to me for some reason and hence both sections feel like completely different websites to the average visitor.
Nothing bad to say about the forum, other than the style may not suit that greatly. Activity wise, it isn't that bad to be honest, at least in terms of members. Post count wise is kind of odd, and to be honest, it doesn't look too great having about half the post count done by RSS feeds in a small forum. So my recommendations are: 1. Make the site and forums feel like one site. 2. Keep at it, and post a few more normal, non RSS topics. 3. That's about it. |
