Please allow wider image attachments
It's rather annoying that most people upload screenshots for their mods and they are scaled down to 700 pixels wide, making them unreadable and not very helpful. A 1000+ pixel wide jpg or png can still be under 50k, so I think the width restriction is a bit extreme, especially given the fact that the allowed filesize is 1MB. I'd like to see it set to 1000 or 1200 pixels, or something more reasonable.
Thanks for considering this! |

Please link to an example of an unreadable screenshot.

When you create a screenshot, instead of opening your window at the width of your 20 inches monitor, simply open it like 8 or 10 inches wide, so it will create a reasonable screenshot.
i often see mini-mini screenshots for that reason... |

Most are perhaps readable, but uglier than desired. There are many unreadable ones as well. Here's an example.

1. Users have larger screens than they did 10 years ago. In 1998, 700px wide images were large, in 2008 they are small. I don't think even 1% of vbulletin.org visitors still have 800x600 res screens. 2. Why allow 1MB filesize yet limit width to 700px? If you want to limit width to 700px, you can safely reduce filesize limits to about 100k. I just took a full-screen screenshot on my laptop 1280x800 and saved it as a png in Paint- 129k. I think a 1MB filesize limit combined with a 700px width limit is rather humorous. |

Personally I have no objection to increasing it to 1000, I'll see what the other admins/mods think. |
