Idea how to massively improve sticky thread handling!
Hi all,
Here is what I think is an explosive idea to increase forum readibility. At the moment, there is often the problem that you have many useful threads you want to stick, but at the same time you have to keep the number of stickies down in order not to push too many regular threads off the first forum page. Solution: A "dynamic sticky" mode. Meaning, after a user has read a sticky, it will be displayed as a regular thread for him for there on, moving to the lower section of the forum. Only after it gets a new post and therefore regains "unread" status, it will jump back to the sticky section in his browser again. Any takers? Best, Tobias |
