Selling a website
Anyone know the best place to sell a website, and any general rules of thumb on placing a dollar value on it? This one area of the web development waters I've never so much as stuck my big toe in to, so any advice would be mucho appreciated.

http://sitepoint.com is a good place where to learn how to sell your site... go to the Marketplace, and you will see...
do not try to evaluate your site by your heart values, that mean nothing... and do not use DNScope.com to evaluate your site... this is not good either... PR is not useful if you sell it, because you are the actual PR of your site... if you quit, there is a reason, the new buyer have to know... |

Thanks, nexialys. Yeah, I definitely need to be dispassionate about it all. PR doesn't seem to be as big a selling point as it used to be. Rarely do you see people on webmaster sites asking how to boost their website's PR like you did a couple of years ago.
I had completely forgotten about Sitepoint. It's been gathering dust in my bookmarks for a while now. |

The best way to go by selling your site is to go to sitepoint.com. GOOD LUCK!
