Question about email headers sent using vbulletin
When a member of our forum receives an email which is sent by Admin through the AdminCP in vbulletin, the name of the sender shows in their emails as the email address listed in AdminCP-->SiteUrlContactDetails-->Webmaster'sEmailAddress, or email address entered in the sent from field. This is the correct email address, however the emails are never formatted in the manner to show what's listed in AdminCP-->SiteUrlContactDetails-->ForumName which is set as "Eclipse Records".
The problem seems to be that when the email is sent, the From field in the email header is set as the email address only (info@eclipserecords.com) and not as expected in the following manner: HTML Code:
"Eclipse Records" <info@eclipserecords.com>
I know this is possible, as when I receive emails sent by members using the contact us form, they are formatted in this manner like so: HTML Code:
"WZZN @ Eclipse Records" <xxx@xxxxxx.com>
How can I make sure that emails sent in this manner are formatted in the manner I want? I don't think it's a modification, as the capability is available (as evidenced by the emails received which are sent through the contact us form). Thanks! |
