VB 3.7 old profile view
Hi! Is there a way to use the old profile (Vb 3.6.x) on Vb 3.7 or to remove the tabs?
Thanks in advance! |

You could, but you would lose a lot of functionality.

Completely agree.
Want to know how to use the old 3.6 style User Profiles on 3.7. This is what is keeping me from upgrading. |

Copy the template over?

Just open a 3.6.10 skin and copy the MEMBERINFO template directly over top the current 3.7 MEMBERINFO template

Won't work, or did they use the $prepared variable in 3.6.10, too?

You wouldn't have the new features like Visitor messages then.
It'd be a lot of work really. |

I asked that because I?m using a template where all tabs in profile don?t appear in Internet Explorer, only on Firefox.
But I resolved this by simply removing the tabs, but all new infos still show. So, this is now fixed. It will be good if in the future versions of vB, Jelsoft put a option to use a "classic view" profile, without tabs, but showing all new infos, like IPB does. Thanks for all the replies. |

But if you look at IPB, they do the column on the left also. I like the tabs on a fluid skin. I think it is too bunched up on a fixed skin, though.
