Removing Password Reset Function
Hey all!
How do I totally remove the ability for forum users to reset their passwords? Or better yet, have all instances of that tool forward to another link. Any ideas? THANKS! Pat |

Why would you want to do that?
I don't think there are any hooks executed near that section of code so you'd need to edit login.php near the lost password bit to set up a PHP redirect. |

If you remove it, what are you going to do about Lost Password Recovery? If they lose their password, it gets reset when they use that form and most users like to then go in and set it to a password they will remember.

We've got password management running through a different system that updates vB in real time. If they use that system's password reset tool, it works fine, but vB's gives them an incorrect password.
So, the correct way to do this is to edit the pogin.php page? Thanks friends! |
