Threads all messy after transforming from XMB to Vbulletin using Impex system.
http://forum.finalfantasyunlimited.net/index.php
The link above shows my forum wich whas running on XMB and now on vbulletin. So far so good (some minour problem, I have no cleu to solve. I am not good with these kinda things) I didn't do the transformation so please do not talk to technical when answering anyway the problem is this. The thread are all messy. When I post a new one it just put the thread someowhere on the forum, and not above, as last posted in thread. (sorry I am dutch, explaining this is a wee bit difficult) so all the threads are no sorted on last post date but all messed up. Is there a way to fix this??It happens with old and with new threads. (lol if there are any volunteers who wanna check if everything is ok wouldbe verry welcome ) ow small ps, it shows the right thread on the forum mainpage, the thread that has last been posted in, but when go to the forum isself its all messed up) |

You have set your board to order thread by thread title.
By title: http://forum.finalfantasyunlimited.n...isplay.php?f=4 Change to ordering by last post date: http://forum.finalfantasyunlimited.n...c&daysprune=-1 Is this how it should be? PS Being Dutch is absolutly no excuse. |

Explaining (and making sure the other understands) can be difficult in any language.
Is changing the order fixing your problem? You can set the default for each forum in the Forum Manager. |

admincp --> forum manager --> edit every forum and make sure "Default Sort Field" is set to how you want it displayed in the forums.
admincp --> maintenance --> execute sql query --> drop menu --> post olest/newest to set all users to the correct default order. |

Edit /includes/config.php and add your userid to this line:
$config['SpecialUsers']['canrunqueries'] = ''; You can get your userid by editing or hovering over your username in the forums. Your english is just fine. |

yes, you will need to login thru ftp or depending on your host panel ie cpanel directadmin you can edit files directly with those.
If you are ftp'ing to the server, you will find config.php in /includes/config.php |
