How do I add advanced search options?
I've tried searching for this, and asked over at vbulletin.com. I was told I would need a MOD for this, but my searches have come up empty. So, I'm asking for a little help.
What I'm looking for is something similar to the advanced search options I see at vbulletin.com, under "Search projects", drop-down menu, nav bar. I see there are plenty of different options one can use to limit the search, or to search more spesific. Now, what I want to do is impliment an articles database, using a MOD of some sort (haven't decided which yet), and I want a more complex search for that. The articles will be diveded into categories, since we are pet centered board, categories will be "dogs", "cats", "fish" etc. Ideally, some search options would change according to which category a user chooses. I.e. if a user chooses "fish" in the main options, he/she would get a different set of options, like latin name or tank size, in other search fields than if the user chose "dog" (size, groom needs etc). I hope I've managed to make it clear what I'm after. Now, can anyone point i the direction of a mod I've missed, or help me out in any way? I would be very greatful. Thanks in advanced PS, if I've posted this in the wrong forum, I appologize, I'm sort of new here, and it's a bit confusing |
