New Message Indicators
I have replaced the standard New Message/No New Message icons that go next to the forums... but I have done so with icons that I can't really make something up to distinguish if a forum has a new post or not.
Is there a way, either built in or via a mod, to have some simple text below the Forum Name, Below the description, that would indicate 1 New Message in this Forum and 3 New Messages in this Forum, etc etc... Make sense? --------------- Added [DATE]1206547116[/DATE] at [TIME]1206547116[/TIME] --------------- Bump? |

No, you didn't really edit that in. If you try to bump a thread within a certain time, your post gets automatically merged with the post above.
To answer your question, I haven't seen a mod here that does that, but you could do one. You would first need to write a plugin to figure out how many new posts there are and then you would modify the template to write the text below the image. (I haven't looked at the code to see if the new post value is already available to use. If so, you just need to modify the template to add the text.) |
