Akismet anti-spam filter not working in 3.7
Hi folks,
I was under the impression that 3.7 comes with anti-spam functionality, but when I enabled the Akismet anti-spam filter in beta 5 by going into vBulletin options, providing a Wordpress API ID, and setting the threshold to a large number, 3.7 nevertheless fails to filter content. Is there some trick to getting it to work? I am under the impression that for 3.6, there is a plugin for this. I have not tried using that plugin under 3.7 as an alternative solution. Thanks. |

that's what we call a bug report, why do you ask here instead of posting there ?!

It works fine for me. I had it go off like crazy the other night. I had it set to 0.

Is there a waiting period before a new WordPress API ID starts working?

Nope, not that I know of. Set it to 0 and all posts will be scanned for SPAM.

This is very strange. Not only does Aksimet not work, but I tried SpamBuster and that has no effect either.
Perhaps my test posts are just not spammy enough. Can someone provide an example spam that will surely trigger Aksimet? |
