How can I edit the RSS feeds in external.php. Are there templates?

What do you want to do? RSS feeds must be coded in a certain way so other websites that use them can understand the data. They aren't meant to be viewed like "normal pages".

I think you need to read up on RSS. RSS is a format based on XML and it has a certain format in which it has to follow. It is not designed to be another "page" of your site, but rather, a standardised format for which other servers can see your content.
