Friendly vB URLs on IIS
Hi
Looking to buy vBulletin but would like to run it on IIS instead of Apache. I believe it is a little harder to create friendly vB URL's (for the search engines) in IIS, but is there a plug in that we can use, or anyone that can help us with this? If this is going to be a real problem then we could look again at leasing an apache host rather than an IIS host. Think we're going to go ahead and buy vB anyway, but trying to get hosting sorted out before purchasing. We have heard that there will likely not be any other issues running vB on IIS (in a Microsoft environment) instead of on Apache (on a Unix system) - but if anyone knows of any, or has had any problems then please do let me know. Thanks HowDo |

Hi Jacquii
Thanks for that. And I take it that product works on IIS (microsoft machines). (I have taken time to look through their site, but find it quite hard to get this information without joining their forums perhaps). Cheers howdo |

I have it running here and here. Both are on Windows 2003 with IIS and Isapi Rewrite. |
