I'm pretty sure windows does .zip handling on its own, if not there are other zip programs then winzip.
Give http://www.7-zip.org/ a try. |

When you create an archive in WinRAR, you can choose to create it as a ZIP file as well. Just run the program, select your files and click "add". On the Create Archive screen, you simply choose ZIP as your archive format.

Thanks Wayne I've been using winzip for years, and just recently started using winrar as my only compressing tool. I've never looked at the options, just always right clicked and saved as a .rar. Yes Danny, that works as well Look, I learned two things today...lol thanks guys Is there a reason why rar isn't in the attachments tho ? I like the little books..lol |

well WinRAR is not a standard. (yet mahahaha)
- I have used it since there was only a command line version. Nothing supports it natively that I know of. I know Windows XP + has native "zip" support. |

Zip is a standard that works for everyone, so we prefer to stick to that.

Yeah, I prefer .rar to .zip, but obviously one is supported a lot more than the other.

Can't most RAR apps open ZIP files also?
Mine can. |
