The "Submit Thread" bar is overhanging the postbit and I have no idea what is causing it or how long it has been happening - I've just noticed it.

Could someone give me some idea of where I might start in the process of fixing this?

It depends by the SHOWTHREAD template. Save its code if you have made some modifications to it, then try to revert it. As far as I know, it will solve this problem. Then you can re-do your modifications.

That doesn't work either. I did notice that when logged in as an Admin (myself for instance) it doesn't happen. When I log in as a regular user, it does. It's like there's something permissions based causing it.
