previewing forum
Is there a way to preview the display of a template before you post it. Say if your doing some editing to your templates and you want to preview it before you apply it. The preview button just shows a bunch of code and I don't really understand that at all.
Thanks |

That's because the data hasn't been fed into the template yet, and the surrounding styles aren't applied. There's no way to get around that. The best solution is to open a test board and do all your testing beforehand in there.

I would need to get a second vb license to create a test board correct?

As per the License Agreement you are allowed to have 1 testboard installed in a directory named "testvb" that is password protected with a .htaccess file.
Quote:
- Create a new Style and set your normal style as Parent Style. This will make the new style a "copy" of your production style. Now edit the template in this test style. - Set your account to use this new test style and test the template edits. - Once satisfied, copy the template contents to your production style and remove the test style. |
