Every time I try and backup the vB it stops around 11.7MB and I get the following error emailed to me....

Any ideas why this keeps happening. I have noticed that the past two backups have been smaller in size then the one before. I would assume they should get bigger as the site gets bigger.

this might not be a option permitted with your hosting plan , but have you tried backing up from the shell prompt ?
