How do I force new members to put their location in?

We have many people asking questions about their trees and dont know where they are located, would save a lot of hassle.

Create a new profile field in the [Add New User Profile Field] area in AdminCP.
Ensure Field Required is either set to Yes, at registration and profile updating. Works great on my site and a couple others I manage for that very purpose.

Is it via Users or Usergroups?

Goes like this as the field is already in Vbulletin so you just have to edit it.

Here goes.

User Profile Fields - User Profile Field Manager - then there's a list of the default ones you just edit.
