1) The threads won't update in real time, as the rss doesn't.
2) Those options are not available in RSS feeds. You'll probably have to have someone custom code a script to do this. 3) Same place you turned your external feeds on in the admincp, there should be a character limit setting. 4) It's premission based, so mod / admin post won't show to those that don't have mod / admin permission. In fact, TBO, I'm a admin, and never see admin post using the rss feeds... |

Sorry for sounding harsh, but it seems that the extremely basic RSS support that vBulletin has had since it was implemented is a topic that gets avoided by everyone. I've been searching the forums for an answer to this:
- Why does the RSS feed not display every single new post, just like phpBB (often ridiculed by vBulletin hardcores) has done for ages? I want to see every post in every thread in my feed reader, not just the first post of a new thread. Limiting it or not allowing to configure this behavior seems like a very poor show IMHO. During my searches here, I've found a number of threads on this very particular topic, and they are all unanswered, or answered with a simple "it doesn't support that". Regards, Mike |
