I want to add a text box at the top of my forums. Basically an area to relay "Welcome to our forums, etc.". I am wanting this text box to display to users who are logged in. My forum is not viewable by people who are not logged in (as I have it restricted).

Here is a sample forum that has a text box at the top of their forum.

Perhaps you could make use of it to accomplish this
