Set width for thead ( Forum, Last Post, Threads etc )
Can I set this to a fixed width? Every one of them?

Are you using separated categories?

Yes I am. Would you like me to post any of my templates here, to make sure it's done according to that?

You should edit the 'forumhome_level1_nopost' template. I could help you through that if you posted it up.

Here I need to be able to set each one of them to a fixed width that is the very same pixels on every monitor because I need to put a background in each of the boxes.
HTML Code:
<table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tcat"> <tr> <td width="100%" align="left" valign="middle" class="tcat"> <a style="float:$stylevar[right]" href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('forumbit_$forumid')"><img id="collapseimg_forumbit_$forumid" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/collapse_tcat{$collapseimg_forumid}.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a> <a href="forumdisplay.php?$session[sessionurl]f=$forum[forumid]"><div style="margin-bottom:0x; padding-left:7px">$forum[title]</div></a> <if condition="$show['forumdescription']"><span class="smallfont"> $forum[description]</span></if> <if condition="$show['subforums']"><span class="smallfont"><strong>$vbphrase[subforums]</strong>: $forum[subforums]</span></if> </td> <td width="19" height="19" align="right" valign="top"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/cat_top_rs.gif" width="19" height="19" alt=" " border="0" /></td> </tr> </table> <table class="tborder" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="1" border="0" width="100%" align="center"> <if condition="$childforumbits"> <tbody id="collapseobj_forumbit_$forumid" style="{$collapseobj_forumid}"> <tr align="center"> <td class="thead"> </td> <td class="thead" width="100%" align="$stylevar[left]"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/forum.gif" alt="Forum"></td> <td class="thead" width="200"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/last.gif" alt="Last Post"></td> <td class="thead"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/threads.gif" alt="Threads"></td> <td class="thead"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/posts.gif" alt="Posts"></td> <if condition="$vboptions[showmoderatorcolumn]"> <td class="thead">$vbphrase[moderator]</td> </if> </tr> $childforumbits </tbody> </if> </table> <div class="spacer"></div> |

Hmmm, did you manually apply the separated categories? Or did you use the hack?

The hack was used but I've done many edits. It'd be funny just to know how to apply it using the default hack version of this template. It's just that the values don't seem to really set the tables to a certain width, they always seem to go over the width when I measure a screenshot of my board. E.g. if I set the "last post" table to 175, it is in fact 195 pixels.

Doing it the manual way would allow you easier control and it's possibly faster than using plugins.
