on a side note, I have one more quick side question...what in my MEMBERINFO template is causing my $footer <tcat> background to be white? If you look on every other page of my forum, the footer has a dark gray background behind it for easier viewing of the vBulletin license information, including the admin/mod login links. What's going on?

change the width setting further if required.

You have a lot of <p> tags with no closing tags, and a <td> outside your table which are responsible for the incorrect display of your template and need cleaning up.

I took all the excessive <p> tags out and replaced them with <br /> to seperate each category in the user profiles. But I still can't figure out what in the MEMBERINFO code is OVERWRITING the <tcat> background that's supposed to appear behind the vBulletin license information and links in the $footer. The footer is right on every single page of my forums except when you view the user profiles! ARG!

Any last ideas as to what could be causing this?

Your markup is bad in areas... For example; you shouldn't really use classes with TR tags.
Try using CSS, too.

In a nut shell, don't assign CSS to <tr>'s via the class property. Also, he suggests using more Cascading Style Sheets.

so you're telling me that that's the reason why somewhere in my MEMBERINFO template something is overwriting the <tcat> code that's supposed to take place in my $footer?

See the top of this postbit? its created by CSS, namely this CSS

That class="thead" is the CSS for the blue (or in your case red) box located at the top of each post.

NEVER do <tr class=""> always do it with td.

Also, instead of <td blah=""></td> make sure you put a there... <td blah="">&nbsp</td>

Problems created by not doing this don't happen with most modern browsers anymore I don't think.
