Auto Title part of new threads in specific forum hack wanted
I'm rusty here but haven't seen anything like this.. If there is one already, please point me in the right direction..
I have a forum with a large number of sub forums... (Let's call it over 750) Many of these are what I call Regional Forums, mostly based on U.S.A. State Names and topics directly related to each. Normally, the New Posts option works great, however it can get confusing with a lot of new posts and when people don't use descriptive titles (WHAT!? Everyone uses descriptive titles hahaha) What I am looking for is a hack that would automatically add an additional title to whatever the member creates.. For example.. "My friend was at the races at Lake Bryan" End result title after Hack does it's work "(Texas) My friend was at the races at Lake Bryan" or "My friend was at the races at Lake Bryan (Texas)" I'm no hacker but it seems to me that this could be modified in the forum manager to add this bit of information to each thread posted there. Any ideas? Thanks, David |
