There's the BOTM and the MOTM, so wouldn't style of the month make a nice addition?

It may not work that well. I see a several nice styles by members but I don't use of them thus I don't mark as installed.

Since there aren't that many styles released a month I think it should use the nomination system like BOTM.

BOTM is actually something like SOTM, because 90% of the voters give notes regarding the look of thesite, not its content...

SOTM is in the pipeline and will use the nominations system similar to BOTM - a lot of the code is in place, but still more work is required. It will not see the light of day until late in the year at least.
