Which file postbit_legacy in?
I have been installing some mods lately and some of them don't work as expected.
For example, in https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...spent+on+board it states in the instructions: Quote:
is it possible to find out where this is installed in a file so that I can compare it with what it should have been originally, or is it possible to view the template original version somewhere so that I can go through it step by step? Or if someone wants to send it to me if it's more convenient - ie, go into your templates and send me the contents of postbit_legacy so that I can see where the above is, and if I'm missing anything else. Thanks for any assistance. |

just try searching for $vbphrase[posts]: $post[posts]
see if you can find it that way... |

As said, $vbphrase[posts]: $post[posts] will be in postbit_legacy. I've checked it myself.

Exactly! That's the reason for this post. It isn't in mine so want to find out where it should go and what else may be missing. |

are you using the normal vb style?

Yes.
Only thing I've done is add mods, which may have got rid of what I am looking for, so I now want to put it back in. |

try searching for this:
Code:
<if condition="$post['age']"><div>$vbphrase[age]: $post[age]</div></if> This is not there Code:
<div> $vbphrase[posts]: $post[posts] </div> |

Ok, done that, thanks.
Still no joy! Doing my head in I have added that code below the age part, and nada. I just installed another mod that had to amend the postbit_legacy file, and the mod didn't show! I decided to do the same amendments to postbit, and guess what, it worked?! It seems for me if I install a mod that needs postbit_legacy amending, I have to make the same amendments to postbit to get this to work?! I presume this isn't the norm. |

In the "vBulletin Options" >> "Style & Language Settings" >> "Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template" >> Is this set to yes or no? Try changing it to the other option and see if that helps.
You only need to edit one of the two templates, and that option controls whether you use postbit or postbit_legacy. |
