forum needing custom icons

hey guys..
first of all, thanks for reading.

secondly, i'm working on a forum for my company's new website. the forum is based off of the "element" template, but completely overhauled. the issue we are having is that the icons that the "element" design comes with aren't transparent at all, which really leaves us with nothing to do but create custom icons.

here are a few things you might need to know:

- icons need to be transparent
- forum is a fixed width
- theme idea can be found at http://forum.eleven2.com/images/themeidea/idea.png

incase we need to change theme colors or whatever.. the images won't have to be changed again to fit the style. that's the problem we have run into here... "element's" images have set backgrounds and so when we decided to change the colors, we learned that we couldn't change the background to all of the images.
