Moving Hosts
I've recently attempted to move hosts and it seems as though there's some issues with the speed of page generation.
I previously hosted the website on my own server with a free dyndn domain name. I didn't want to change the domain name so I thought I'd simply change the vbulletin configuration so it reflected the new domain name I purchased as part of the hosting setup and then update dyndns with the new server IP address. However, it does seem that it's taking ages to update pretty much any forum page, so I'm thinking that there's some coding / mods etc are still calling the dyndns host name. Is there any way I can track what what pages are going outside of the websites own domain? |

You can try to check how much Serverload is on the new host. If you are on shared/reseller hosting account then it possibility someone on the same server is using more resources making you site lagg. You can check server load from cPanel > Server Status or from vBulletin AdminCP Index page.
You use the outbound link checker see which other site/link you vBulletin is calling http://www.linkvendor.com/seo-tools/outbound-links.html Sincerely, Tahir PS:- You can post or PM you forum URL i can try to check if any vBulletin links are calling your dyndns server or not. |
