moderating forums

is it possible or is there a addon that will allow to have a person moderate just one forum, let say they want to run there clan in a forum off the main forum?, i would have to add a new forum named after there clan with a few sub forums under it.. then set the leader as a mod for just them forum only?..

thing is i would not want the moderator for the clan forums to be able to moderate posts on the other parts of the forums.. if they post out of there own clan forum it would be as a normal user..

Thats how it already is...unless i am not understanding you?

You create forum category, you create forums under that category. You set a moderator to that category. That mod can only moderate posts in that category by default.

i have not tried it yet.. but would it still say moderator under there username if they posted out of there clan forum?..

Mmm.. is there anyway to make it so that if you give someone mod status and a forum to mod it only say moderator under there name when they post in the forum they mod?..

if they post in any other forum the title would revert to the board settings like maybe noob or something..
