How to display something next to user's rank

Hi,

I run an orchid forum. I added an optional text box in the user's profiles where they can enter the list of plants that they grow. Is there a way to display a small icon/graphic (say list.gif) next to the user's rank/avatar if they have something in that text box entered ? This way members could check what other members grow.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
