Default Is it possible to restrict registration to individuals under the age of
X? Would that require much modding? Perhaps something that checks the age against the birthday. Who knows.

This is only for an online guild I am workin' on for a mate. We don't care if they lie really, but we'll figure 'em out sooner or later.

Basically you're asking for a usergroup of age? You're using the term "individual" which is kinda referring to a usergroup of age...

Children-5-11
Teenager-12-17
Adult (consider) 18-21
Adult-21-40
Senior-41+

THat just an example... I might be wrong on what you're asking for.
