No one could actually give a figure, but that's a pretty powerful set-up and would run a very busy forum.

Not sure about versitle Bulletin board, vBulletin should run fairly well on that up to 300 active mysql connections assuming everything is configured properly.

Even if it's a single cpu setup it should have no problems with a larger number of users. I plan on using vB with a dual Opteron 240 (1.4ghz) and 2Gb PC2700 ECC/Reg.
There are no such things as exact numbers, but I'm guessing that a popular forum with about 4000 users would have no problems at all. It depends on how well configured it is. |
