[vB 3.5.3] $vboptions replaced with $bbinfo
Ok here is an interesting problem, Our board recently changed domains, but remained on the same server, so none of the files themselves have physically moved at all, However alot of the links are broken because they are still looking for stuff on the old domain name.
Now i have changed alot of this because there were hard coded urls, which i repalced successfully with $bbinfo[url]/forums/ now i have found no more references to the old domain name at all. it has recently been discovered that some of the links, even though not pointing to the old domain, are still pointing to the wrong domain. We are now on an IP, and it begins with 65.*.*.* ... however some of the links are pointing to 68.*.*.* instead. Well ive come to discover that it is apparently related to the $vboptions[bburl] variable. There are ALOT of instances of this in all the styles. Im wondering if it is safe to replace all of the instances of $vboptions[bburl] with $bbinfo[url] instead. |

Where id you get bbinfo[url] from? vBiotions[bburl] is the correct setting and can be easily updated in the admincp under vBulletin options.

i dont know where i got that from... but $vboptions[bburl] isa pointng to the wrong place...
however if it can be changed in the options, then where can i find that as it would save me doing a search & replace $bbinfo[url] works though, it points to our main domain name, but doesnt include the forums directory.... so i still need to do $bbinfo[url]/forums/ ok i got this working... had to change some stylevars i totally over looked. |

But there is no bbinfo varible in vBulletin...
If $vboptions[bburl] is not correct FIX IT! AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Site Name / URL / Contact Details > Forum URL Dont to 20-30-50 times more work tha you need too. |
