Quickedit stalling

Whenever I use the quickedit box at the bottom of each thread, it just sticks the page and won't continue. The post is posted but I have to either go to favorites and hit another link or close the browser. Sometimes the browser will continue as it is supposed to but I will get a duplicate message error.

I thought it might be a template problem but I reloaded an old template set from over a month ago and it gets the same errors. Also happens in both IE and Firefox.

Any clues on what I can try to fix this? TIA for any help.
