Save new posts....
Is there such a mod? Or am I missing something totally. I've beat my head against the wall searching for an answer..
Kind of like SMF in the way it keeps posts new UNTIL they are clicked on or you hit the 'MARK ALL READ' button. Many of my users complain that They might not have time to get through all the new posts, maybe the system times out on them and they are not "remembered" with the system. They then loose their new posts. I tell them to use the todays posts, but The complaint with todays's posts is that it might contain things already read. Has anyone else asked for something like this, is there a mod for something like this or is there a setting in vbulletin?? I am open to suggestions.. Thanks Jeff |

Hi
Have a look in your admincp, vbulletin options (menu on the let) then goto General Settings in there are settings for marking the forum as read Thread/Forum Read Marking Type This option controls how threads and forums are marked as read. Click the help icon on the right for more information on each option.
Database Read Marking Limit The amount of time in days to store the thread and forum read times. All threads or forums without posts in this many days will be considered read. Hope this helps |
