I like the skin but you do have a lot of forums.
I'd also hide your staff forum it removes one less thing normal members have to see. I'm not really a fan of those side menus either, having them jump up and down when I scroll with the mouse wheel gets kind of annoying after a while. I can't really think of much else at the moment. What other things were you looking for advice on? |

Thanx for responding CROMULENT - Yeah the forums I wanted to have many - believe it or not - but used to be more - I actually combined forums in the Poetic Colours. But there's so many different styles... I finally decided to put in a Miscellaneous section LOL...
Also - had some of my "mature in age" Members complain about the site being to "difficult" to navigate. (I think vB and JPiC specifically is easy to navigate...) Anyway - I just added the side menu earlier this morning actually. I kinda like it. At anyrate - thanx very much for your commentary and your suggestion about the staff lounge - I will definitely consider So what do you think of the header & logo & other graphics? Jacquii. |

As I said I like the skin, the graphics are clear and well presented.
If I was being really picky I would try and kill some of that empty space in the footer under the Paypal donate button. |

Overall, Your forum looks prity nice. Brown isn't my colour but you seemed to have worked with the colours and used them well.
The logo imo is very mediocre at best, the text looks jaggy as does the overall appearance of the image, the slogan could be more crispier and a little more prominant. Overall it looks like the image was cropped badly resulting in a logo that doesn't stand out well. Same rule applpies to the forum status icons. They look mediocre at best and if you look closley, the curved areas of the images look jaggy and look as if they have been cropped resulting in the rough edge. Button set edging looks jaggy, I'm assuming you saved them as a fully transparent image (bad if the buttons contain a curved edge) which yours do. Saving them to an appropriate matte to compliment the background to which they are applied onto is your best bet and I gurrentee that the edging on the buttons opting (for the method I suggested) will give you a far better result. Example: Look at the screenshot (below) and tell me which images look better? This will ensure that all images on your forum will give off a more pleasant appearance. With that all said, With a little TLC I'm sure the feel and look to your style will benefit from the suggestions I put forth. I wish you all the best for your site. |

OK GUYS - thanx very much for the suggestions = Shelley - I will note the distinction you made between the matte images and the cropped jaggy edge... I will certainly try to work on those in the next coming days!
Thanx very much for the feedback Jacquii. |
