Hi i have got some super mods on my site.. i dont have normal mods..

anyway how do i stop them from being able to physically remove threads/posts? but only soft delete?

Forum & Moderators -> Show all Moderators
Click "Edit Permissions".
There is an option to disallow them to physically delete posts.

someone gave me a hack for this.. anyone know?

^^^There is no hack needed. Just follow the instructions from the previous person. By disabling the physical deletions, they can only soft delete.

but is there a way so ALL supermods are not able to use it? Because the explanation given is only for the forums you specify. But a supermod is able to mod ANY forum, not just the ones shown at Forum & Moderators / Show all Moderators

The explanation give in post 2 controls Smods permissions anywhere, it is not forum related. It's only available in 3.6
