Small issue with custom fields?
Hey guys,I had a question reguarding custom fields in VB3.5.4.I created 3 custom fields made for staff members,These being "Staff Name,Staff Occupation, and Staff Biography" now i set these fields to be private, editable by user, and not required.I then set all usergroups to not have permission for private fields other then admin's,moderator's,and our custom staff usergroup.Yet any member still seems to be able to see these fields in there profile and add to them.Is this an issue?because to my understanding i thought that was supposed to hide the field completely from other members without permission to view it.Thanks for your time.

Private fields aren't displayed on a members profile, but people will be able to edit them IIRC.
Anyway, I think you might need this: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...=profile+field |

That looks interesting and is pretty much what i am trying to do,to bad no one has made a plugin to do this yet. That would be a nice addition rather then doing it the hardcoded way. Thanks
